Solar Electric Heating
Solar electric heating has significant advantages vs. Solar thermal heating. No mechanical parts are involved like pumps, piping and antifreeze.
We divide solar direct heating into two categories:
Dedicated Solar Heating utilizes the electricity from a solar array to power a dedicated AC circuit directly connected to a special water heating element. This is ideal for off-grid applications, where no power is drawn from the battery bank.
Solar Hybrid Heating is using an integrated micro air to water heat pump to generate domestic hot water. The annual electrical load from the micro heat pump is offset to 100% by a solar grid tied system which comes with the unit. This configuration is most suitable for grid-tie applications and larger off-grid systems.
